In 1991, Michael Schumacher entered the big stage of the Formula 1 circus for the first time. Michael Schumacher, then only 22 years old and reigning Formula 3 champion, was not actually scheduled to race in Formula 1 that season. Nevertheless, he made it to his first race in the premier class, the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps in the Jordan J191.
Schumacher had never driven on the legendary Ardennes circuit before. So, without further ado, he cycled around the circuit to get to know it a little better.
In qualifying, Schumacher was able to set the eighth fastest time in the Jordan J191 with the famous 7UP livery and was thus able to start the race from 7th place. After he managed to fight his way up to 5th place in the actual race, on 25 August 1991, his clutch failed and Schumacher was unable to continue.
To mark the 30th anniversary of this historic event, a collection has now been created with a design reminiscent of the legendary "7UP" livery of the Jordan J191.
The collection is now available for order in the Paddock Legends Shop. We wish the loyal Michael Schumacher fans a lot of fun with it!
