Michael Schumacher Anniversary Collection 1991: THE highlight!

25.08.2021

25 August 1991 Spa-Francorchamps

At the young age of 22 and as reigning Formula 3 champion, Michael Schumacher entered the big stage of the Formula 1 circus for the first time in 1991. Eddie Jordan offered him the unique opportunity to prove his talent at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Schumacher had never driven on the legendary Ardennes circuit before. In qualifying, he was able to set the eighth fastest time in the Jordan J191 and the famous 7UP livery, and even started the race from 7th place. After he had fought his way up to 5th place in the actual race, on 25 August 1991, his clutch failed. Schumacher was unable to cross the finish line in his first Formula 1 race, but laid the foundation for his career there.

To mark the 30th anniversary of this historic event, a collection in the legendary "7UP" design was created. The first parts of this collection have already been released, but now comes THE highlight: In cooperation with the world-famous racewear manufacturer "Stand 21", a racing overall was replicated, limited to 10 pieces, which resembles the original from his debut race.

And not only this exclusive collector's item, but also Michael Schumacher's helmet from 1991 was replicated on a scale of 1:2. At that time, it was still rather plain, but this was to change a lot over the years.

These two special collector's items are now available in the Michael Schumacher Shop.

We wish the loyal Michael Schumacher fans lots of fun with them!
