Manthey-Racing and the history of motorsports
Manthey-Racing GmbH is located in the immediate vicinity of the Nürburgring. The company specializes in the use of racing vehicles as well as the development and services for Porsche road vehicles.
Historical racing milestones include six victories in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in the years 2006-2009, 2011 and 2018. In addition to these successes, the lap record for road-legal sports cars was also broken in the anniversary year 2018. It was a Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR, which was further developed by Manthey-Racing and, with driver Lars Kern, conquered the 20.832 km of the Nürburgring in a time of 6:40.33 min. In addition, Manthey-Racing is also very active in other racing series in motor sports. For example the Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey-Racing, which is part of the Nürburgring long distance series. In addition, Manthey-Racing is responsible for the use of two Porsche 911 RSRs in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) on behalf of Porsche AG. This includes, for example, the legendary 24h race of Le Mans as well as other endurance races taking place worldwide.
