Marianne Princess zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn was born in Salzburg in 1919. "Manni", as she is affectionately known in celebrity circles, is a great-great-great-granddaughter of the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa. The photographer has been photographing international celebrities as a socialite for almost 50 years. These have included Hollywood celebrities such as Steve Martin, Dennis Hopper and Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as star conductors Leonard Bernstein and James Levine, heads of state, ministers and business bosses such as Henry Ford or cigar legend Zino Davidoff.
