At the 24h race of Le Mans 1997 the JB Porsche Team started with the Porsche 911 GT1. Under the starting number 29, the drivers Jürgen von Gartzen, Olivier Thévenin and Alain Ferté managed to finish 23rd overall and 9th in the GT1 class after 236 completed laps.
