The Bahrain Grand Prix took place on 20 March 2022 at the Bahrain International Circuit and covered a distance of 57 laps of 5.412 km each, for a total distance of 308.238 km.
Starting from 12th position, Mick Schumacher of the Haas F1 Team began the race in his Haas VF-22 race car. In the first race of the season, Schumacher benefited from Pierre Gasly's retirement and lined up in 11th place at the finish.
