The Belgian Grand Prix took place on 29 August 2021 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and covered a distance of just 1 lap and a total distance of 6.880 km, making it the shortest race in the history of the Formula 1 World Championship.
Starting the race from pole position was Max Verstappen of the Red Bull Racing-Honda team in his RB16B race car. Due to the extreme weather conditions, the race was immediately interrupted and restarted only by a safety car period, but was stopped again after one lap and declared finished.
