Since the foundation of the motorsport team Manthey-Racing, the organisers' association Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring, VLN for short, has been one of the hobbyhorses of the company from Meuspath. In this racing series, which has been held at the Nürburgring since 1977, the team is the sole record holder with more than 50 victories in individual races to date and has always been able to leave the competition behind.

The Manthey Racing Team also competed in the 2018 VLN season with the Porsche 911 GT3 R in green camouflage. With drivers Fred Makowieki and Laurens Vanthoor under the starting number 911, they started at the RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen, the sixth round of the season, on 01 September 2021. However, the team had to park the car after 14 completed laps and end the race prematurely.

The 1/18 scale model was produced in the usual high Ixo quality and reflects the original in the best possible way.
