James Hunt - The Enigma
One of the main heroes of 1970s Formula 1, '76 World Champion James Hunt was more recently epitomised by the movie Hunt vs Lauda. A driver of rockstar legend, Hunt was best known for stealing the world championship from Niki Lauda at a sodden Japanese Grand Prix to cap an incredible ’76 season that inspired the film.
Famous as much for living the high life as he was for being a world driving champion and later a foremost F1 authority and commentator, James was also quite handsome and the girls loved him. On track, Hunt shot to prominence by winning the 1974 Dutch Grand Prix for the tiny Hesketh team before moving on to McLaren where he replaced Emerson Fittipaldi to power that team to its second World Driver’s Championship.
Today James Hunt is revered as a racing icon and to celebrate his larger than life personality, Paddock Legends has designed a collection of merchandise to make the real race fan's heart race even faster.
