The Legend Ayrton Senna
Ayrton Senna was a Brazilian racing driver who won three Formula 1 World Championships for McLaren in 1988, 1990 and 1991. In the course of his Formula 1 career he achieved 41 Grand Prix victories, 65 pole positions and 19 fastest laps. He celebrated his greatest successes with the F1™ Team McLaren-Honda. During his career he drove for Toleman-Hart, Team Lotus, Team McLaren and Team Williams. From 1984 until his fatal accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix on the Imola circuit, he drove in Formula 1. His rivals and companions included racing colleagues Nelson Piquet, Stefan Bellof, Nigel Mansell, Gerhard Berger, Alain Prost, Niki Lauda, Keke Rosberg and many more.
Senna is still considered one of the most successful and legendary racers of all time. A 77-member jury consisting of Formula 1 drivers, team bosses, engineers and journalists has voted him the fastest Formula 1 driver in history on several occasions.
